BSA’s founder and CEO is former Harvard and Yale Professor Constance E. Bagley, a noted expert in corporate governance, entrepreneurship, business ethics, and strategic compliance management. She is a former corporate securities partner at Bingham McCutchen LLP and served on the National Adjudicatory Council of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority

Constance E. Bagley is Founder & CEO of Bagley Strategic Advisors LLC and Visiting Professor of Law, CBS LAW, Copenhagen Business School.  She was previously Professor in the Practice of Law and Management at Yale School of Management and a Senior Research Scholar at Yale Law School. Prior to joining the Yale faculty, she was an Associate Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, Senior Lecturer in Law and Management at Stanford Graduate School of Business, a member of the faculty of the Young Presidents Organization University for Presidents in Hong Kong and the Czech Republic, and a Partner at Bingham McCutchen LLP. Professor Bagley served on the Steering Committee of the Yale Senior Women Faculty Forum and the National Adjudicatory Council of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

She received her A.B. with Honors and Distinction from Stanford University, her J.D. magna cum laude from Harvard Law School, and an honorary doctorate in economics from Lund University. Her recent articles include with Anat Anon-Beck “Preparing for the Apocalypse: A Multi-Prong Proposal to Develop Countermeasures for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Threats,” forthcoming in the Cardozo Law Review” as well as “Pharmaceutical Public-Private Partnerships: Moving from the Bench to the Bedside,” Harvard Business Law Review, and “Promoting ‘Academic Entrepreneurship’ in Europe and the United States: Creating an Intellectual Property Regime to Facilitate the Efficient Transfer of Knowledge from the Lab to the Patient,” Duke Journal of Comparative and International Law, both with Christina D. Tvarnø. Her books include The Entrepreneur’s Guide to Law and Strategy (5th edition), with Craig E. Dauchy, and Managers and the Legal Environment: Strategies for Business (9th edition).
